the exam is genuinely unfinishable by design — multiple semesters of students unable to complete it in time. the strategy is to get partial marks across everything rather than finishing a few questions perfectly

project 2 skeleton code has had bugs in past semesters and the teaching team is slow to answer on ed. group work is heavily luck-dependent — if your team is unbalanced you will carry the whole project

uml diagram fluency is non-negotiable for the exam. practice drawing class and sequence diagrams by hand under time pressure — the exam gives very little time per question and diagrams need to be legible enough to mark
